A grouting curtain was constructed downstream side of ash dam within Kemerköy coal fired power plant. The ash dam was located on limestone formation with cavities. In order to stop leaching of water infiltrating through ash and contamination of groundwater resources, a grouting curtain composed of 5 rows of grout holes was constructed for a depth varying between 20 m to 45 m from ground surface.
